At Sligo Community Counselling, we are committed to providing accessible, high‑quality therapeutic support to our local community — and our practitioners are at the heart of that mission.
We foster a supportive, collaborative environment for therapists at every stage of their professional journey. Student therapists, pre‑accredited therapists, and accredited practitioners who join the team are not simply completing client hours; they are entering a culture shaped by generosity of spirit, reflective practice, and the safety to grow into creative, grounded therapists. Each practitioner is encouraged to evolve their own way of being in the work.
Whether you are gaining your initial clinical hours or are a seasoned practitioner looking to give back, we welcome your interest.
Student Placement.
We hold interviews for 1–3 student placement spaces approximately every six months.
An intake page — including an online application form — will open between December 2026 and January 2027.
Applications are only accepted through the online intake process, not by email or phone. Please keep an eye on our website and social media channels for updates.
To ensure a good fit with the way we work as a team, we ask that you read the terms and conditions carefully before completing the form, as they may or may not suit your current stage of training.
As interviews approach, you will receive notification within 3 weeks of the interview date. All interviews are conducted in person, not online.
The next round of interviews will take place sometime in December/January 2026/27.
